Day 1 — Ampana to Kabalutan: Discover Bajau Village Life

Your journey begins in Ampana, the gateway to the Togean Islands. Travel by boat to Wakai before continuing to Kabalutan, a traditional Bajau settlement built on stilts above the sea.

Upon arrival, explore the village and gain insight into the maritime traditions and everyday life of the Bajau community. Observe how local families live closely connected to the surrounding waters, which have sustained their way of life for generations.

In the afternoon, settle into your locally run homestay and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of island life.

Day 2 — Pasibatang Reef and Papan Island

After breakfast, head out by boat for a snorkeling experience at Pasibatang Reef, where you can explore coral gardens and marine life, weather and sea conditions permitting.

Continue to Papan Island, home to a distinctive stilt settlement connected by a wooden bridge stretching approximately 500 metres above the sea. Walk along the bridge, discover the village at a relaxed pace, and experience another side of Bajau island life.

As the day winds down, settle into your local homestay on Papan Island and enjoy an evening surrounded by the quiet rhythms of the sea.

Day 3 — Sea Fan Garden and Beachfront Island Resort

After breakfast, continue your marine exploration with a snorkeling trip to Sea Fan Garden, known for its underwater scenery and impressive sea fan formations.

After exploring the surrounding reef, travel to your beachfront island resort. Once checked in, enjoy time to relax on the beach, swim in the clear water, or explore the nearby house reef at your own pace.

Day 4 — Dagat Molino Jellyfish Lake and Marine Exploration

Today is dedicated to discovering more of the Togean Islands’ marine environment. Visit Dagat Molino Jellyfish Lake, where you may swim among stingless jellyfish in a unique natural setting. Follow your local guide’s instructions to help protect this delicate ecosystem.

Depending on sea conditions, travel time, and the day’s route, the excursion may also include Taipi Island and Karina Beach. Enjoy opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, and appreciating the natural beauty of the islands before returning to the resort.

Day 5 — Farewell to the Togean Islands and Return to Ampana

After breakfast, check out from the resort and travel by boat to Wakai to connect with the public boat service to Ampana.

Your Bajau cultural and island journey concludes upon arrival in Ampana. Boat schedules and transfer arrangements will be confirmed according to the services operating on your travel date.
