WAYAWtour is a locally based tour operator and travel specialist in Ampana, Central Sulawesi, with the Togean Islands as our core destination and area of deepest expertise.
Established in 2014, we have built our experience around helping travelers explore the islands, reefs, communities and landscapes of Central Sulawesi through carefully arranged, locally connected journeys.
We do more than sell tour packages. We help travelers understand how to travel through the region — where to go, how to move between islands, which experiences fit their interests, and how to make a journey work in a destination where travel is still shaped by the sea, weather, local schedules and the people who live here.

Our Story
WAYAWtour grew from a simple idea: the best way to experience the Togean Islands is to travel with people who understand the destination from within.
Since 2014, we have worked with travelers from different countries and backgrounds, arranging journeys across the Togean archipelago and connecting guests with local boat crews, guides, accommodation providers and communities.
Over the years, our work has given us firsthand experience of the practical realities of traveling through the region — from boat routes and island connections to seasonal conditions, accommodation choices and the character of different destinations.
Today, the Togean Islands remain at the heart of what we do, while our local network and experience extend to selected destinations across Central Sulawesi.
We Are Based in Ampana. The gateway to the Togean Islands.
Our base in Ampana is more than an office location. It places us close to the routes, people and logistics that connect mainland Central Sulawesi with the Togean Islands.
From here, our team works with local boat operators, guides, accommodation providers and other partners to arrange journeys across the archipelago.
Because we operate from the destination itself, we understand that travel in Togean is not simply about following a fixed itinerary. Sea conditions, weather, boat schedules and local circumstances can all shape a journey.
Our role is to help travelers navigate those realities while creating an experience that remains enjoyable, practical and connected to the destination.

Our core destination and the place where our deepest local experience has been built. From remote islands and coral reefs to Bajau communities, Jellyfish Lake and the volcanic landscapes of Una-Una, we create journeys across the archipelago according to each traveler’s interests.
Banggai Islands
A remote island region east of the Togean area, offering a different side of Central Sulawesi through marine environments, island landscapes and local coastal communities.
Lore Lindu National Park
A mountainous landscape in Central Sulawesi known for its forests, biodiversity, traditional communities and remarkable megalithic heritage. We arrange selected journeys for travelers interested in nature, culture and the ancient landscapes of the region.
